In nature turtles have enormous areas as habitat, regardless of land or water turtles. There females can avoid mating-possessed males and have hundreds of hiding places.

There is nothing similar at all in a turtle plant!

We can barely offer such a large area to animals in human custody. Therefore we have to take care about such important things.

We keep ALL of our animals separated according to sexes!!!

The males are set to the females only for a few days during the mating time. The more aggressive breeds only for a few hours and anyway only under supervision. Leaving both sexes together for a longer period, the male would be behind the female for 24 hours a day and the female would fade away because of stress!
